Curtis G. Norton Jr. , is Senior Pastor of Word Alive Christian Center, Mt. Holly, NJ and Merrick Park Baptist Church, Jamaica, NY. Born and raised in Queens, NY, this Third Generation Pastor has been called to minister the Gospel of the Kingdom of God through numerous biblical illustrations and easy to understand truths. Pastor Norton’s assignment is primarily to the unchurched, lost and underachiever, instilling in their lives, freedom through Faith in God’s word; bringing The Word Alive to their situations.
Presently, Word Alive Christian Center is renovating the City of Joy , a sixteen-acre miracle in Burlington County. In Merrick Park Baptist Church, Pastor Norton has been positioned caretaker, where his father Bishop Curtis G. Norton Sr., led for 43 years. Properly poised to make dynamic strides for the 21st century, Pastor Norton believes Merrick Park Baptist Church, will continue to be a Generational Family Church where faith is a perpetual lifestyle.
Having been reared in the Church and being a product of it’s nurturing, God’s has opened doors for Pastor Norton to minister in the United States, Great Britain, Germany and Africa. He has also ministered over the varied airwaves of radio and television. His additional ministerial training includes Jericho Bible Institute, Washington D.C. and Evangelical Christian Bible Institute, El. Paso Texas. He is currently furthering his studies at Trinity College & Theological Seminary, Newburgh Indiana.
Pastor Norton has enjoyed the great privilege of serving as Associate Pastor in the chaplaincy of the USAF Gospel Service at Oxford England, and is past 1st Vice president of Evangelical Christian Church Ministries Inc., El Paso, Texas. He is the Secretary of the Kingdom Connection Covenant Alliance of Southern New Jersey and a member of Vision Ministers Fellowship, Seattle, WA. He is also the Co-founder and CEO of Norton Ministries, Inc. which encompasses the Movers and Shakers Network, Spirit & Life Productions, Little Ladies Network and Triangle Community Development Corporation.
Currently residing in Southern New Jersey, Pastor Norton has Co-authored two books Foundations and 1 + 1 = 1, A Marriage Manual , with his wife Rev. Tina P. Norton. He is currently working on (3) additional releases “The Key To It All”, “How to Walk By Faith” and “Bozo, Bobo or Boaz, The Choice Is Yours”, in addition to his first musical project entitled, “Faithful God” which is slated for 2008 release.
The future holds a bountiful harvest for Pastor Norton as he is committed to fulfilling God’s purpose for his life; declaring God’s Faithfulness, preaching the uncompromised Word of God.
