I see my goals with clarity.
Phillipians
3: 12 - I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it
made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously
reached out for me. Friends, don’t get
me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got
my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and
running, and I’m not turning back.
Striving to
live the life of my dreams takes reflection, planning, and effort. I know that
I am responsible for creating the existence I yearn for. Therefore, thoroughly
understanding what I want to achieve is necessary.
In order to continue
on the path to the life I seek, I make special efforts to clarify my goals.
I regularly
reflect on my hopes for the future. I consider what it feels like to achieve a
personal or professional goal. Those feelings of personal pride, integrity, and
success spur me forward. I visualize my goals so I know exactly what I am
seeking.
Each day, I
engage in some type of planning to help me achieve my current goals. Whether it
involves making a phone call, researching a topic on the internet, or jotting
down some notes, I see my goals clearly because of my ongoing planning.
Above all, I put forth effort to be aware of
my goals at all times. I place reminders throughout my home, car, and briefcase
regarding what I am working toward. I not only visualize my goals, but I also see
reminders of them on a daily basis.
My clearly-defined
goals are important to me and aid me in putting forth considerable effort
toward achieving success.
Today, I
intend to review my goals. I know I can clarify each of my goals so I know specifically
what I am working toward. My life is filled with meaning because I have understandable,
well-defined goals.
Self-Reflection Questions:
Do I have clearly defined goals? Do I know exactly what I am working for?
On a daily basis, what kinds of things do I do to keep my goals in the forefront of my mind?
What must I do to ensure my goals are clear, concise, and consistent with my life plan?
