Learning to Celebrate and Record Successes
Are you bad at celebrating your successes? Ever notice how someone
could list 20 positive things you did to achieve something great, but you only
remember the one critique they have regarding your approach. You must learn to
celebrate and record our successes and use the critiques to build towards something more significant.
You may have a sharp mind and the capacity to save the
memory of sweet victory but journaling your experiences along the way can also
be an excellent way to catalog your successes.
Celebrating successes also provides you with a foundation for building self-confidence and success.
Confidence should not be confused with arrogance. Confidence occurs when we trust in our
knowledge, skills, and ability to achieve a specific
outcome.
A lack of self-confidence can
be like a magnet holding you down if you let it. Arrogance is the embodiment of pride of
self-importance. There is a distinct difference. Your ego can be detrimental to
your success and become a negative obstacle.
Rewiring Our Minds
We can rewire our brains so
that we ditch those negative thoughts and emotions. Mindfulness and meditation
are excellent ways to clear our minds, build new ways of thinking and produce
results. Mindfulness allows us to focus
on the “now,” and acknowledge or accept our feelings. It enables us to control
our emotions, achieve mental clarity and focus, increase energy levels, enhance
decision making and improve your overall energy.
Learn to Trust in Ourselves
The biggest part of believing
in yourself is learning to trust yourself. Self-trust goes hand in hand with
self-confidence. Once you establish trust, you will see your confidence rise, and
you will gain a sense of power and courage.
Lifehack.org suggests that with meditation, journaling, and other self-reflective
activities, you can learn to trust yourself. Each of these things will
challenge you to examine your beliefs and poor conclusions about who you are
and set you on a journey to addressing each issue and establishing goals to get
past them.
Do Not Become a Victim of Fear
Avoid becoming a victim of
your own fear. This emotion is an offensive force that can keep us from
believing in our capabilities. Fear can create self-doubt leaving us unlikely
to promote our self for new opportunities, likely to run away from criticism or
feedback, and lack the comfort level for being who we are as individuals. You
must take small steps to conquer your fear.
Learning to believe in
yourself does not happen overnight, but with small changes, you will experience
great successes in life. Learning to discard self-limiting behaviors and
beliefs will enable you to live the life you deserve and achieve your greatest
potential.
