Be Flexible

A 2016 article in Time magazine pointed out that motivated people are open-minded and have flexible beliefs. That doesn't necessarily mean religious belief, it refers to personal philosophies about work.
As mentioned above, different people have ways of looking at the world or of getting things done. Very few situations are actually set in stone. If you go into a situation with a chiseled perception of how things are and how things should be done, you're likely to miss out on a lot of opportunities. This doesn't only apply to situations, it also applies to ourselves. No one is constantly motivated. If you only have one way to work, you might be lost when you hit a slump or things don't go your way.
